West Bengal Government Press, Alipore is a State Government Unit, once considered to be the biggest printing press in Eastern Asia, was established in the year 1923 by the then British Government of India.

Activities:
At present this Govt. Press has been engaged in the printing, binding & publishing of :

• Govt. Gazette Notification and Private Notification publications as per rule.
• Govt. Calendar.
• Budget Speech of the Hon'ble Minister-In-Charge of different Departments of Govt. of West Bengal.
• Question Paper, Answers Scripts and Students Diary etc. of Govt. Schools & Colleges.
• DCRB for all districts of the State.
• Printing, binding of different types of Forms, Registers, Cash Book, Case Book, Money Receipt, Peon Book, Note Sheet, Letter Head, Visiting Card, Envelope printing etc.
