West Bengal Government Press, Cooch Behar

Established as the Cooch Behar State Press by the King of Cooch Behar.

Transferred from the King of Cooch Behar and became part of the state of West Bengal on 19 January, 1950 and came to be known as West Bengal Government Press, Cooch Behar.


  • Printing Works of the different departments, offices in the districts viz. Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Aliporeduar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakkhin Dinajpur and Malda.
  • Important printing jobs undertaken by the Press are as follows:
    • The Kolkata Gazette (Land Acquisition only).
    • Secret / Confidential Publications.
    • Standard and non-standard forms.
    • Miscellaneous matters.
