West Bengal Government Press, Raj Bhavan

Established in 1908 as "Private Secretary to the Governor's Press" at 2, Larkin Lane, Kolkata - 700062 headed by one Manager for printing works of Viceroy Of India exclusively.

After independence came to be known as "Secretary to the Governor's Press" and headed by the Assistant Superintendent under the control of Superintendent, Govt. Printing (4 Units).

Extended in 2004 as "Inside Unit Of Raj Bhawan Press" to Raj Bhawan (Main Building) and further shifted to the hut adjacent to the main building in 2009.

Activities:

• Printing Works of the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal.
• Important printing jobs undertaken by the Press are as follows:
  1. Budget Speeches of different departments.
  2. The Kolkata Gazette.
  3. Secret / Confidential Publications.
  4. Standard and non-standard forms.
  5. Annual Reports of Departments
